Through thematic conferences, B2B meetings, immersive experiences and exchanges with investors, the Port Authority of Kribi highlighted the strengths of its industrial-port ecosystem and its vision for integrated growth in Cameroon and Central Africa.
From 12 to 21 June 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) played a leading role at the 10th edition of PROMOTE, hosting the Kribi Industrial-Port Pavilion alongside its strategic partners. The event provided an ideal platform to promote investment opportunities, showcase the Kribi Port Industrial Zone (KPIZ), present its digital innovations and reaffirm Kribi’s position as a key driver of industrialisation and logistics competitiveness in Central Africa.
From 12 to 21 June 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) participated in the 10th edition of PROMOTE in Yaoundé through the Kribi Industrial-Port Pavilion, alongside its strategic partners KPIZ, KCT, KMT, TransAtlantic and Smit Lamnalco.
Throughout the exhibition, the pavilion served as a dynamic platform for dialogue, business networking and the promotion of investment opportunities offered by Kribi’s industrial-port ecosystem. The programme featured thematic conferences, B2B meetings, networking sessions, immersive experiences, expert discussions and institutional visits, reflecting the momentum behind the development of the Kribi Port Complex.
One of the highlights was the conference dedicated to the Kribi Port Industrial Zone (KPIZ), held under the theme: “The Kribi Integrated Industrial Zone: A Growth Accelerator for the National and Regional Economy.” Moderated by Mrs. Lucrèce Mebenga, the panel brought together Patrice Melom, General Manager of PAK, Yves Melingui, General Manager of KPIZ, and Léandre Bassole, Regional Director of the African Development Bank for Central Africa.
The discussions highlighted the strong synergy between Kribi’s world-class port infrastructure and the development of KPIZ, which is now fully operational. Speakers emphasised that this integration is a powerful catalyst for attracting investment, expanding local value-added industries, strengthening industrial competitiveness and accelerating regional economic integration.
Another major conference, entitled “The Port of Kribi: Strategic Advantages and Investment Attractiveness,” showcased the Port’s key competitive strengths. Participants explored Kribi’s deep-water infrastructure, its capacity to accommodate the world’s largest vessels, the investment opportunities offered by KPIZ and the Port’s growing role in securing and optimising Central Africa’s logistics corridors.
As the exhibition progressed, the Kribi Industrial-Port Pavilion continued to attract large numbers of visitors through a rich and diversified programme. Day Seven, held on 18 June, placed a special focus on digital transformation and technical expertise. During a strategic session, PAK’s Information Systems Department presented the cutting-edge digital solutions available to customers, including the Smart PAK application, designed to make port services more connected, faster, more transparent and more efficient.
Visitors also enjoyed an immersive presentation of port operations led by the teams from Kribi Conteneurs Terminal (KCT). The session provided valuable insights into terminal operations while highlighting career opportunities and current recruitment initiatives within the port ecosystem, allowing students and young professionals to better understand the skills and professions shaping the future of the logistics industry.
Throughout PROMOTE 2026, PAK also offered an immersive virtual reality experience, enabling visitors to explore the Port’s state-of-the-art infrastructure and operational capabilities. The initiative generated significant interest among investors, business leaders and the general public.
Supported by the strong commitment of its teams and partners, PAK multiplied business meetings and strategic discussions with economic operators, further strengthening its investment promotion efforts and expanding opportunities for future partnerships.
Through its remarkable participation at PROMOTE 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirmed its vision of a port that goes beyond its maritime function to become a fully integrated industrial, logistics and economic ecosystem. Under the banner “PAK: Smart Port, Attractive Business,” it once again demonstrated its ambition to position Kribi as a leading platform for investment, industrial transformation and logistics competitiveness in Central Africa.
