Internships at PAK: Investing in Youth, Preparing for the Future
Through its internship programmes, the Port Authority of Kribi supports young people in discovering the professional world while contributing to the development of local skills and employability.
In 2026, nearly 100 students took part in the holiday internship programme, while PAK welcomed nearly 369 academic interns from public and private higher education institutions across Cameroon. The initiative makes professional experience a valuable tool for career guidance, learning and employability.
They came to the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) to discover the professional world. They leave with new knowledge, skills, professional connections and, for some, a clearer vision of their future.
Since 2022, PAK has made welcoming young people for internships a genuine tool for career guidance, learning and preparation for professional life, with particular attention given to young people from neighbouring communities.
In 2026, nearly 100 students took part in the holiday internship programme, while PAK welcomed nearly 369 academic interns from public and private universities and higher education institutions across Cameroon.
These internships provide young people with an opportunity to discover the wide range of professions involved in the operation of a modern port, with particular emphasis on technical, port, logistics and industrial professions.
The strong demand from Kribi Technical High School for holiday internships illustrates the growing interest among young people in technical fields and their desire to better understand the career opportunities offered by Kribi’s industrial-port ecosystem.
Beyond technical knowledge, internships also provide an opportunity to develop essential professional qualities, including discipline, a sense of responsibility, teamwork, initiative and adaptability.
For holiday internships, admission is notably subject to achieving a minimum average grade of 10/20, making academic merit an important gateway to professional experience.
Through these programmes, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirms its commitment to youth, equal opportunities, local skills development and employability.
Training the talents who will contribute to the development of tomorrow’s port and industrial ecosystem is a responsibility that PAK fully embraces as part of its corporate social responsibility and its commitment to sustainable development for future generations.
