A MINEPAT mission to accelerate Kribi’s transformation

The Port Authority of Kribi hosted an evaluation mission from MINEPAT under the P2ZI agreement, aimed at assessing progress on key structuring projects within the industrial-port zone.

The Port Authority of Kribi continues to advance its transformation agenda with the visit of an evaluation mission led by MINEPAT, as part of the monitoring of the P2ZI agreement.

Received by Patrice Melom, Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi, the delegation conducted a comprehensive review of the progress of key structuring projects shaping the industrial-port zone.

Discussions focused on critical issues, including the mobilization of public funding, the efficiency of its implementation, and medium-term development prospects. This approach reflects a commitment to optimizing public investment for greater economic impact.

One of the highlights of the mission was the visit to the construction site of the port’s electrical substation. This strategic infrastructure is designed to sustainably strengthen the energy supply of the port and industrial complex, playing a central role in the development of the Kribi Industrial Port Zone (KIPZ).

Through the P2ZI agreement, the State of Cameroon reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of the Port Authority of Kribi as a key driver of economic transformation, in line with the SND30.

The ambition is clear: to structure, connect, and industrialize in order to accelerate sustainable growth and position Kribi as a leading logistics and industrial hub in Africa.
