Some remarkable numbers

remarkable numbers

274

Number of vessels of various sizes, hosted between 02 March 2018 and 31 December 2018. In detail, the breakdown is as follows: 190 on the container terminal operated by Kribi Terminal Containers (KCT); 22 at the multipurpose terminal. The PAK has thus crossed the symbolic threshold of 200 ships on the on-shore traffic, in ten months of operations. Meanwhile, in offshore it has reached 59 oil and gas vessels.

50

Number of destinations covered at the start and finish of the Port of KRIBI (covers of the geography of trade of Cameroon). In essence, the countries covered are: Italy, China, Vietnam, United States, France, Netherlands, Germany, Turkey and South Africa. This also shows the great international openness of this port which, immediately, focused on the major international shipping lines.

100 000

Quantity of containers processed in ten months by Kribi Containers Terminal (KCT)

50 000

Volume of cubic meters of wood exported between August 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018 at the Polyvalent Terminal

20

Number of containers handled per gantry per hour at the Container Terminal, and 2,000 cubic meters of wood per day at the Multipurpose Terminal

10

Average number of days of import delay and 04 days of export.

100 000

Number of containers handled at Mboro, including 80,000 for transhipment traffic. Which traffic is one of the big surprises in the performance of the PAK over the past year. Traffic favored first by the natural pull of this door to the sea, established stably at -16 meters at least, all seasons. Secondly, by the overall quality of the infrastructures and services offered. This traffic on transhipment rose from 3,441 TEUs in March 2018 to some 80,000 at the end of December, consolidating the strategic role of the Port of Kribi on international shipping lines. Local traffic follows the same trend: from 146 TEUs in March to 4,000 TEUs at the end of September, and 8,000 TEUs by December 31st. Over the ten months of activity in 2018, more than 100,000 containers were handled by the reference operator, Kribi Container Terminal (KCT).

16 meter

Depth at the dock. This makes it one of the deepest ports in Africa and justifies its term "deep water port". This foot to the sea gives it the opportunity to accommodate ships of unprecedented tonnage in the Gulf of Guinea, up to 400 meters span, with a capacity of 100,000 tons. This depth is also marked by a channel of 200 meters and a 600-meter turning area

280

Cost in billions of CFA francs of the first phase of construction of this port, in the face that is currently known to him. On April 5, 2017, Cameroon formally received from China an additional allocation of CFAF 420 billion which provides for the development of an additional 700 meters of additional platform. This, in order to adapt to the potential for development of maritime traffic in this sub-region. This phase II is thus essential in the overall coherence of the economic model deployed around this industrial-port component.

26 300

Area in hectares of the port area. 20,000 ha of raw land will be developed by 2040 for commercial, logistic and industrial areas. To make functional these areas of commercial, logistical and industrial activities, the PAK is currently working on the establishment of an important infrastructure network (road and motorway services, railways, drinking water supply system, power supply, etc.)
