The Kribi Port's Industrial Zone was in the spotlight at Abu Dhabi, including international investment policies, strategies to maximize the potential of each company globally, fintech, blockchain, and sustainable investment. This has indeed helped to strengthen the international presence and visibility of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) and to expand its network. It should be noted that the Annual Investment Meeting, abbreviated AIM, is a leading investment conference that brings together all entrepreneurs, investors, and industrialists from around the world and takes place annually in the United Arab Emirates. Initiated by the AIM Foundation and now in its 12th edition, it's a platform that allows participants to discuss the key principles of international investment policies, strategies, and practices for sustainable development, aiming for global, smart, and inclusive growth.
Thus, this exchange platform, which gathered about 20,000 participants, ultimately allowed PAK to strengthen its international business relationships. To recall, the ZIIP is a space of 1500 gross hectares dedicated to the implementation of logistics and industrial activities. In partnership with operators such as Bolloré Africa Logistics, Tanger Med, ICTSI, and CHEC, this project estimated at about 552 billion FCFA is expected to generate over 50,000 direct and indirect jobs. Demonstrating the advantages and opportunities offered by the Kribi Port's Integrated Industrial Zone (ZIIP) to international investors was the main motivation for the significant PAK delegation at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in ABU DHABI, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Inaugurated on May 8th under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled Ben Mohammed Ben Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and in the presence of Ministers, decision-makers, and industry leaders from different countries, the 2023 edition of this annual event was themed 'The paradigm shift in investment: Future investment opportunities to promote sustainable economic growth, diversity, and prosperity'. For three days, the team led by Habib IYA, Head of the PAK Representation in Douala, was able to interact with numerous investors, financial experts, and international entrepreneurs. Through strategic discussions, roundtables, and workshops in which the PAK delegation participated, a variety of topics were covered.
