CORPORATE VALUES: PAK ORGANISES A TEAM BUILDING SESSION ON CSR

Since Monday 6 May 2024, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) has been holding team building sessions on ‘’Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility’’ at the Lagon Hotel in Kribi to give its staff a unique experience.

For a week and this 3rd edition, the staff is to be taught on how to own PAK CSR values so as to be CSR ambassadors through their actions and initiatives towards local communities.

Initiated by the Top Management and provided by God Ahead Africa, this yearly meeting aims to gather staff in an environment other than the office to tackle team spirit. As the approach used here is participative, the staff is encouraged to commit to and own PAK CSR values through specific collaboratie activities.

On the first day, the Technical Advisor No.1 SAADOU MOHAMADOU officially opened the session and launched this initiative under the technical assistance of Roland KWEMAIN and his team who are established experts with inured experience and a sound mastery of PAK corporate and organizational environment and its CSR challenges. Activities used throughout the various workshops included dance, finding the missing word, collective painting.

PAK CRS mission is to make the Port of Kribi the biggest industrial port and a major economic hub in Africa through sustainable development. Thus, through the various workshops organised, the Port of Kribi plans to have the staff comprehend and share the corporate social responsibility to achieve the common vision and action, to encourage the embodiment of these values so as to give meaning to shared performance and to initiate or extend the management process of such values.

During the brainstorming session, the teaching objectives included acquiring a better understanding of CSR, its various scopes and the major challenges for PAK; coming up with CSR projects that can benefit the Port and the local communities and finally, identifying specific actions to implement in individual social responsibility (ISR) to support PAK CSR endeavours. In conclusion, all the actions of individual social responsibility are a major asset in achieving CSR objectives. Such actions are politeness and respect in one’s environment, providing support to the have-nots, learning to share and love. All these add value to CRS as society identify us, the staff, as actors and ambassadors of our respective companies.
