MC14: Cameroon at the Heart of Global Trade
The Port of Kribi asserts its strategic role in international trade flows
By hosting the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization in Yaoundé, Cameroon positions itself on the global economic stage, with the Port Authority of Kribi playing a key role in this dynamic.
At the heart of major decisions shaping global trade, Cameroon is firmly asserting its position. By hosting the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (MC14), held from March 26 to 30, 2026 in Yaoundé, the country has become a convergence point for global economies and a strategic player in international trade.
In this high-level diplomatic and economic context, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) stands out as a key pillar of this momentum.
Alongside leading institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Port Authority of Douala (PAD), the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNCC), and the Cameroon Single Window for Foreign Trade Operations (GUCE), the PAK showcased the voice of a modern, efficient, and forward-looking port.
Through the address delivered by its Director General, Patrice Melom, who gave the closing remarks ahead of the March 24 session, the PAK reaffirmed its strategic role in structuring trade flows and supporting Cameroon’s trade policies.
More than participation, this was a demonstration of leadership.
More than presence, it was a clear statement of positioning.
The Port Authority of Kribi stands at the crossroads of global flows, serving the national economy and actively engaging with the challenges of international trade.
