The session opened with a keynote lecture delivered by the Divisional Delegate for the Promotion of Women and the Family, setting the stage for discussions on the role of women in strategic sectors, particularly in the maritime and port industries.

The panel brought together several committed women from the port and maritime ecosystem, including:

  • managers and staff members of the Port Authority of Kribi;

  • professionals working in port and logistics activities;

  • a representative from the academic sector;

  • and the Girls in Maritime Association (GIMA), composed of students from ENSTMO Kribi, led by its president Josiane Kabeyene, a maritime navigation student.
