On Friday, May 8, 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) welcomed His Excellency Matt Woods, British High Commissioner to Cameroon, for a diplomatic visit centered on opportunities for economic and industrial cooperation.

Received by the General Manager of PAK, Patrice Melom, the British diplomat held discussions with Port officials on the major structuring projects driving Kribi’s transformation. Key topics included the integrated industrial zone, logistics infrastructure, energy, rail connectivity, and the development of specialized terminals.

The delegation also toured the port facilities, including the terminals, the breakwater, and the industrial zone, gaining first-hand insight into the Port of Kribi’s growing role as a strategic logistics and industrial platform in Central Africa.

Through this visit, the United Kingdom demonstrated concrete interest in the Port of Kribi’s development potential, while PAK reaffirmed its openness to international partnerships, innovation, and long-term investment.
