KRIBI CONTENEURS TERMINAL

 

Kribi Conteneurs Terminal (KCT) is a consortium under Cameroonian law, bringing together the entities Africa Global Logistics (AGL) and the shipowner CMA-CGM; as well as the Chinese civil engineering company CHEC, with a group of Cameroonian investors. The company was created in October 2017, with a capital of 52 billion F. CFA and effectively started operations on March 02, 2018. KCT is the concessionaire of the Port of Kribi Container Terminal, whose main activity is port handling precisely the unloading and loading of containers. On the Mboro quays, the company is responsible for managing the Container Terminal. This terminal can accommodate ships of unprecedented size in West and Central Africa, up to 400 meters long and carrying some 100,000 tonnes of goods. It is also equipped with modern, high-performance tools, particularly in terms of navigational aids and handling. The combination of the quality of the infrastructure and the operator's internationally recognized know-how should guarantee ships and goods transiting through the terminal a service of the highest international standards.

The container terminal offers the following services and equipment:

- An equipment maintenance workshop
- Two (02) post-panamax gantry cranes (STS)
- Ten (10) park gantry cranes (RTG)
- One (01) 150-tonne MHC mobile quay crane
- Eighteen (18) tractors

- twenty-four (24) trailers
- Three (03) reach stackers
- Two (02) empty handlers
- A 14 Ha container storage area
- 192 fridge outlets 
- Four (4) weighing stations at the port's land access booths.

The company effectively started operations in March 2018. The company is headed by DAVID AZRA, who sits at the head of a workforce of 539.
