Avima Iron Ore and Port of Kribi Sign Strategic Partnership for Iron Ore Export

Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between Avima Iron Ore and Port of Kribi
A new partnership to facilitate the export of high-grade iron ore from Congo via the Port of Kribi
A memorandum of understanding was signed on Monday June 8, 2020, establishing an official partnership between Avima Iron Ore Limited and the Port Authority of Kribi for the reception, storage and loading of Iron Ore (DSO – Direct Shipping Ore with high iron content) from Avima mining sites at the Republic of Congo to the Port of Kribi for exportation.
A key milestone was reached as Avima Iron Ore Limited and the Port Authority of Kribi signed an MoU to export high-grade iron ore (DSO) from Congo to global markets via Kribi Port — reinforcing Kribi’s role as a strategic gateway for regional mineral exports.
Both parties will carry out economic, commercial, technical, financial and legal feasibility study to attain smooth and rapid movement of iron ore.
It is worth noting that this project presents so many investment opportunities for the public.
Avima is a high grade iron ore deposit with a JORC (Joint Ore Reserves Comittee) compilant resource of about 700 million tonne of direct shipping iron ore.
The Avima Iron Ore project is one of the leading world class projects set to play a major role in the development of what is popularly known as the “Iron Ore Triangle” of West Africa.
