Benchmarking Visit: Kribi Port Authority Draws Inspiration from the CCAA’s Quality Management Excellence

A fruitful exchange between two institutions committed to performance and continuous improvement

On October 29, 2025, a delegation from the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) visited the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) for a benchmarking session focused on the Authority’s Quality Management System and regulatory compliance framework, as part of PAK’s ongoing ISO certification process.

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) conducted a benchmarking visit to the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) on October 29, 2025.

Led by Mrs. Jeanne Valérie NYAKE MAKAT, Head of the Audit and Quality Division, the PAK delegation was received by Mr. Allabira MAMADOU, Deputy Director General of the CCAA. The session focused on sharing experiences around the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Regulatory Compliance Monitoring System, both essential components in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification.

During the working session, Mr. SACK SACK Z. Conrad, Head of the Quality Service, presented the CCAA’s organizational structure, tools, and mechanisms used to ensure compliance with international quality standards. The delegation also explored the CCAA’s Integrated Management System (IMS), its Quality and Integrity Policy, and the various international recognitions obtained — including certifications from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Over nearly three hours of discussion, the PAK team gained valuable insights into governance models, regulatory monitoring, and continuous improvement strategies that have positioned the CCAA as a national benchmark in quality management.

At the end of the visit, the PAK delegation expressed its deep appreciation and reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the best practices learned, to strengthen its own quality management processes.

This benchmarking visit marks a significant step toward closer inter-institutional cooperation between the CCAA and the PAK — a shared vision to foster performance, compliance, and excellence across Cameroon’s public enterprises.
