Advancing professional maritime pilotage across Africa
The Port Authority of Kribi participated in the 2nd edition of the African Congress of Maritime Pilots (ACMP), held at the Tanger Med Port Center.
Objectives of the conference
Organized by APMPM, AMPA, and IMPA, the conference aimed to:

Promote modern, safe, and efficient professional maritime pilotage in Africa.

Share best practices, experiences, knowledge, and professional know-how.

Encourage African participation in international bodies such as IMPA and IMO.

Align the development of the maritime pilot profession with the growth of African port infrastructure.

Foster joint reflection and collaboration among African maritime pilots to address their challenges in a changing global context.

Establish a continental reference point for pilotage, similar to pilot organizations in Asia, North America, South America, Australia, and Europe.
