Security at the Port of Kribi: Gendarmerie Unit Now Fully Operational
Double handover of command and strengthened logistics
The Port Authority of Kribi has reinforced its security apparatus with the official installation of two new gendarmerie units on October 30, 2019, at the Mboro port site.
Two officers take command
Security at the Port of Kribi is now under the leadership of:

Lieutenant EYIZO’O Rodrigue Cyriaque, Commander of Squadron No. 74;
-
Captain Nyoa Djomnié Guillaume, Commander of the Port Authority of Kribi Gendarmerie Company.
The ceremony, presided over by Colonel AZEW Landry, Commander of the Southern Legion, was well attended, with the presence of the Prefect of the Ocean Division, Antoine BISAGA.
Modern logistical support
On this occasion, the Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi, Patrice MELOM, provided the newly installed unit with state-of-the-art logistical support, including:

a 4×4 vehicle,
-
a 30-seat minibus,
-
and a set of computer equipment.
Renewed commitment to security
The installation of these officers, combined with the provision of modern equipment, strengthens the mission of the national gendarmerie on the Mboro port platform. This initiative reflects PAK’s determination to ensure a high level of security, a key factor in the port’s competitiveness and reliability for its partners and economic operators.
