An internal workshop to strengthen the use of data in decision-making

On November 18, 2019, as part of the 29th edition of the African Statistics Day (ASD), the Port Authority of Kribi organized an internal workshop focused on the role of statistics as tools for decision-making and drivers of promotion.

A multidisciplinary panel

The workshop brought together the three Technical Advisors of PAK alongside the heads of Operations, Marketing, and Communication. This diversity of expertise fostered constructive dialogue and cross-cutting approaches to the challenges related to data management.

Statistics, reliability, and performance

Discussions highlighted the need to produce reliable, relevant, and high-quality data. Such data are essential foundations for supporting the Port’s strategic decisions and enhancing its visibility with partners and clients.

Towards a stronger data culture

By encouraging emulation and collective reflection, this initiative helps strengthen the culture of statistics within PAK and further integrate the use of data into the institution’s daily governance.
