SAEDEL 2026: City-Port Synergy in Focus

The Port of Kribi as a driver of local development

At SAEDEL 2026 in Kribi, the Port Authority of Kribi highlighted its role in human and territorial development, beyond its port operations.

During the Salon of Economic Actors and Local Development (SAEDEL), held in the coastal city of Kribi, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) showcased another dimension of its mission: that of a committed stakeholder in human and territorial development.

From the official opening ceremony, attended by administrative and local authorities, the PAK pavilion stood out as a key attraction. Beyond its logistical role, the Port of Kribi presented itself as a daily partner—supporting social infrastructure, contributing to public health initiatives, and promoting cultural and environmental actions.

A highlight of the event was the visit of the Director General, Patrice Melom, who engaged with teams and reviewed progress made in corporate social responsibility initiatives. His presence underscored the importance placed on inclusive and sustainable growth.

Through immersive virtual reality experiences, expert discussions, and high-level panels on decentralization and local development, the PAK delivered a clear message: a port is not an isolated entity, but the beating heart of a transforming ecosystem.

👉 At SAEDEL 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi demonstrated that beyond port infrastructure lies a broader vision—one of shared, sustainable, and forward-looking local development.
