PROMOTE 2024: PAK Highlights Kribi’s Industrial and Port Excellence
During the 9th edition of the International Business, SME and Partnership Exhibition, the Port Authority of Kribi showcased its port, logistics and industrial capabilities through professional exchanges, technical presentations, demonstrations and business meetings.
From 17 to 25 February 2024, the Port Authority of Kribi took part in the 9th edition of the International Business, SME and Partnership Exhibition, known as “PROMOTE”, under the banner of the Kribi Industrial and Port Pavilion. PAK’s participation featured professional exchanges, technical presentations, B2B meetings and an immersive experience showcasing the infrastructure of the Kribi deep-water port.
The Kribi Industrial and Port Pavilion at the Heart of the Exchanges
Held under the theme “Private Sector, Evolution and Structural Transformation of African Economies,” the 9th edition of PROMOTE brought together public and private-sector stakeholders, companies, partners and professionals from various fields in Yaoundé.
Under the banner of the Kribi Industrial and Port Pavilion, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK), together with its partners, took part in this major business platform by showcasing the opportunities offered by Kribi’s port, logistics and industrial ecosystem.
Throughout the exhibition, the pavilion served as a space for information, professional exchanges and experience sharing on the port’s activities and projects contributing to the development of the industrial and port area.
Exchanges Focused on Port and Logistics Excellence
PAK’s participation featured a range of activities designed to showcase the solutions and expertise developed within the port ecosystem.
Thematic presentations, technical workshops, masterclasses and B2B meetings provided professionals, partners, clients, economic operators and students with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of issues relating to maritime transport, logistics and port operations.
On 21 February 2024, the teams of Kribi Conteneurs Terminal (KCT) led technical presentations and workshops focusing on solutions to challenges in transport and logistics. The discussions also provided an opportunity to explore business opportunities associated with the Kribi Industrial and Port Area.
Streamlining Operations to Better Serve Customers
On 20 February 2024, PAK’s Operations Department delivered a presentation on streamlining operating systems and improving customer monitoring.
The presentation highlighted the measures undertaken to optimize port management processes, facilitate information exchanges with customers and improve the user experience.
The session was followed by a presentation by Kribi Multipurpose Terminal (KMT), a PAK partner, focusing on the value generated by logistics operations carried out through the Mboro port platform.
An Immersive Experience at the Heart of the Deep-Water Port
In keeping with its digital transformation approach and its ambition to become a smart port, PAK also offered visitors an immersive virtual reality experience.
Using this technology, visitors were able to explore the infrastructure and facilities of the Kribi deep-water port interactively, providing a new way of discovering port activities and their operational environment.
The innovation attracted considerable interest from a diverse audience, including business leaders, partners, clients, students and visitors interested in learning more about the port sector.
A Space Dedicated to Business Opportunities
The Kribi Industrial and Port Pavilion also provided visitors with an opportunity to engage directly with experts and representatives from the various organizations present.
Discussions focused in particular on innovative logistics solutions, ongoing development projects, key port activities and the opportunities offered by the Kribi Industrial and Port Area.
These meetings contributed to strengthening exchanges between PAK, its partners, economic operators and stakeholders interested in the opportunities associated with the development of Kribi’s port and industrial ecosystem.
A Closing Event Focused on Partnership
PAK’s participation in PROMOTE 2024 came to an end on 25 February 2024, concluding an experience marked by knowledge sharing, professional meetings and the showcasing of the expertise of Kribi’s industrial and port ecosystem.
The presence of the PAK General Manager, alongside several high-level personalities and economic stakeholders, further demonstrated the importance attached by the institution to promoting the Port of Kribi as a platform supporting economic development.
The participation concluded with a business dinner hosted by PAK, bringing together partners, clients and prospects in a convivial setting conducive to dialogue and the strengthening of professional relationships.
Through its participation in PROMOTE 2024, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to the transformation of Cameroon’s economy through innovation, port performance, logistics and the development of strategic partnerships.
