Port Authority of Kribi Welcomes Prodevelop to Strengthen Technological Cooperation

The visit provided an opportunity for PAK and Prodevelop to discuss the port’s modernisation challenges, development prospects and potential areas of technological cooperation.

In March 2019, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) welcomed a delegation from Prodevelop, a company specialising in technological solutions for the port sector. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the specific needs and development prospects of the port, while exploring potential solutions to support its transformation and operational performance.

In March 2019, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) welcomed a delegation from Prodevelop, a company specialising in technological solutions for the port sector, as part of a working visit focused on the challenges and development prospects of the port platform.

The meeting was part of the ongoing dialogue between PAK and its technology partners, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the port’s needs, discussing developments in the port industry and identifying solutions capable of supporting the continued growth of the Port of Kribi.

Discussions Focused on the Development of the Port of Kribi

During the visit, the Prodevelop delegation was received by Mr Patrice Melom, then Managing Director of the Port Authority of Kribi. Discussions focused in particular on PAK’s short- and long-term priorities, as well as the future development of the port platform.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to present the specific characteristics of the Port of Kribi and the challenges associated with its development. At a time when the port was entering a new phase of growth, PAK was progressively strengthening its operational capabilities and consolidating its position within regional and international logistics chains.

Technology in Support of Port Performance

The discussions with Prodevelop also focused on the opportunities offered by digital and technological solutions to improve port management and operational performance.

In an industry marked by rapid technological developments and the constant need to optimise operations, exchanging knowledge and experience with specialised partners represents an important means of supporting the transformation of the port platform.

For PAK, such exchanges contribute to ongoing reflection on solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency, service quality and the overall performance of the logistics chain.

A Forward-Looking Partnership

The visit reflects the Port Authority of Kribi’s commitment to maintaining regular dialogue with its partners and stakeholders across the international port ecosystem.

Through such exchanges, PAK continues to engage with innovation, international expertise and global best practices in order to support the sustainable development of the platform and meet the growing demands of maritime trade and logistics.

The meeting with Prodevelop therefore formed part of the Port Authority of Kribi’s broader approach to making innovation and technological cooperation key drivers of performance, competitiveness and international visibility.
