Dombé High School Students Discover the Role of ICT in Port Operations

As part of their post and extracurricular activities, students from Dombé High School were welcomed at the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) in Mboro.

The theme of their visit was:
👉 “The Impact of ICT on Business Operations and Performance”,
highlighting the students’ keen interest in understanding how technology shapes today’s enterprises.

In line with its strategic focus on digital transformation, the PAK demonstrated how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are central to its daily operations and contribute to overall efficiency and performance.

Throughout the visit, students discovered the various areas where ICT is integrated into port operations, including:

  • Digital access control systems at the port’s entry points,

  • A fully monitored video surveillance network,

  • A centralized information system to support port services,

  • Container scanning technology, operated in partnership with Transatlantic.

The guided tour offered students a hands-on learning experience, bridging the gap between theoretical classroom knowledge and real-world application in a high-tech industrial environment.

👉 This initiative reflects PAK’s commitment to educational outreach, the empowerment of young learners, and the promotion of port-related careers.
