A Strategic Partnership for Community Development

On August 21, 2024, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) officially handed over a fully equipped fishing unit to the Cooperative of Fishers and Farmers of Lokoundje-Embouchure, demonstrating once again its commitment to the empowerment and well-being of local communities.

A Meaningful Contribution to Local Empowerment

The total value of the donation is estimated at 7,125,000 FCFA, and includes modern fishing equipment, such as:

  • Monofilament nets

  • Floats, reels, and marine-grade ropes

  • Life jackets

  • A 15-horsepower outboard engine

  • A motorized canoe

With this equipment, local fishers now benefit from improved working conditions, enabling them to meet market demands more effectively while sustainably harnessing the region’s marine resources.

A Strong CSR Commitment by the Port Authority

This initiative is part of the Kribi Socio-Economic Support Program (PASEK) and reflects PAK’s broader corporate social responsibility strategy. It aims to deliver tangible and inclusive actions that drive socio-economic development in surrounding coastal communities.

Through this gesture, PAK reaffirms its commitment to solidarity, sustainability, and inclusive growth for the benefit of the people living alongside the port.
