Africa CEO Forum 2025: The Port Authority of Kribi, Cameroon’s Showcase

A Strategic Presence for Cameroon

From May 12 to 13, Abidjan brought together more than 2,000 African and international decision-makers—business leaders, investors, policymakers, and economic experts—united by a shared ambition: to reflect on, build, and accelerate the continent’s economic development.

In this high-level environment, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) stood out as one of the most visible and sought-after Cameroonian representatives. Through its modern and welcoming booth, designed to embody the vision, innovation, and dynamism of a transforming port, PAK attracted significant interest and attention.

It was precisely at this booth that the Prime Minister and Head of Government of Cameroon, H.E. Joseph Dion Ngute, made an exclusive stop. A visit that did not go unnoticed.

A Port in Full Transformation

Welcomed by Mr. Patrice MELOM, Director General of PAK, the Prime Minister was briefed on the port’s latest developments, including:

  • its expansion projects and the recent launch of Phase 2;

  • its positioning as a strategic logistics hub for Central Africa;

  • its commitment to local value addition and raw material transformation;

  • its driving role in promoting intra-African trade, in line with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

An Active Role at the Heart of the Forum

Throughout the event, the PAK delegation engaged in a series of:

  • B2B meetings,

  • exchanges with leading investors,

  • and presentations of structuring and transformative projects.

A Port with Global Reach

This active and visible participation reaffirms PAK’s ambition to become an international benchmark port, serving:

  • logistics competitiveness,

  • regional integration,

  • Cameroon’s economic attractiveness,

  • and local job creation.

More Than Just a Port

PAK is much more than a port.
It is a concrete showcase of the presidential vision, a catalyst for national development, and a strategic gateway connecting Cameroon to global opportunities.
