The Port Authority of Kribi strengthens its civic commitment to a cleaner coastline

Faced with the growing threat of plastic pollution, the Port Authority of Kribi once again took action on the ground, reaffirming its role as a responsible and environmentally committed port.

On December 3rd, the Port Authority of Kribi  (PAK) renewed its environmental commitment through a large-scale field operation against plastic pollution—one of the most pressing threats to marine ecosystems today.

Wearing gloves and equipped with shovels and collection bags, PAK teams, volunteer citizens, and partner organizations walked the beaches of Ngoyé, Mboa-Manga, and Mboro. One piece of waste at a time, they contributed to restoring natural spaces disturbed by human activity.

This field activity was preceded by a thematic workshop organized by the Directorate of Planning and Environment (DAME). The workshop shed light on the sorting, monitoring, and evaluation mechanisms implemented by PAK for the efficient management of pollution.

Guided by the Top Management’s vision, these men and women embodied a simple truth: protecting our ecosystems is not only an institutional duty—it is a genuine act of preserving our territory.

Beyond numbers and actions, this initiative reflects PAK’s deeper ambition: to build a sustainable port within a clean and healthy environment.

Because protecting the environment is not only about safeguarding our living spaces. It is about preserving a story, an identity, a heritage we must pass on.
And at PAK, we have chosen to be—today more than ever—the guardians of this promise.
