The Port Authority of Kribi Supports the Fight Against Cancer at Pink & Blue Talk 2025
A strong commitment from PAK alongside the Grand Littoral Association to promote cancer prevention and patient support.
The Port Authority of Kribi took part as an official partner in Pink & Blue Talk 2025 in Douala, supporting a major initiative dedicated to awareness, prevention, and support for individuals affected by cancer.
On Friday, 14 November 2025, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) reaffirmed its commitment to community health by participating as an official partner in Pink & Blue Talk 2025, an event organized in Douala by the Grand Littoral Association. This initiative, part of the international Pink & Blue October movement, focused on raising awareness and preventing breast, prostate, and testicular cancers. The 2025 theme — “One color for her, one color for him, one shared cause for life” — highlighted the unity needed in the fight against cancer.
A Night of Awareness, Dialogue and Solidarity
Held in a warm and supportive atmosphere, the event brought together medical professionals, private-sector representatives, associations, and public institutions. The program opened with welcoming remarks from Mrs. Ideledele Lucie Sariette, President of the Grand Littoral Association and promoter of Pink & Blue Talk.
The evening featured several high-level contributions, including:
-
A presentation by Dr. Anaba Ndom Dominique, oncologist at Douala General Hospital, on understanding and preventing breast, prostate, and testicular cancers.
-
An intervention by Professor Félicien Ntone, psychologist and Board Chair of Douala Gynaeco-Obstetric Hospital, titled “Rediscovering One’s Value Beyond the Illness”, focusing on emotional recovery after a cancer diagnosis.
-
Moving testimonies from survivors who shared their resilience journeys.
-
A presentation of IntelliBra, an innovative device enabling earlier breast cancer detection.
-
A speech by Professor Blaise Nkegoum, Permanent Secretary of the National Committee for the Fight Against Cancer (CNLCA), outlining the national strategy on cancer prevention and care.
The event concluded with the symbolic handover of financial support to patients, partner acknowledgments, and a group photo symbolizing unity in the fight against cancer.
A Promoter with Vision and Compassion
At the heart of the initiative stands Mrs. Ideledele Lucie Sariette, a woman of vision and empathy. Through the Grand Littoral Association, she works tirelessly to combat the isolation experienced by many cancer patients and to promote psychological, social, and human support.
Her leadership has enabled the mobilization of a wide network of institutional and private partners around this deeply human cause.
The Commitment of the Port Authority of Kribi
The PAK fully aligns with this dynamic through its moral and institutional support. Convinced that sustainable development also relies on community well-being, the Port places health, solidarity, and inclusion at the core of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.
By supporting Pink & Blue Talk 2025, the PAK reaffirms its commitment to advancing human progress and contributing to the fight against cancer.
One Cause, One Commitment, One Shared Hope
The Port Authority of Kribi commends the success of the 2025 edition of Pink & Blue Talk and extends heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Ideledele Lucie Sariette and all partners — including Société Générale Cameroun, Onomo Hotels, Boissons du Cameroun, Panzani, Université Adventiste Cosendai, and Success Light — for their dedication to this noble cause.
Through this collective effort, once again, solidarity has proven to be one of the most powerful tools in the fight against cancer and for human dignity.
