Responding to urgent needs and strengthening solidarity
On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, the situation is clear: humanitarian needs have reached unprecedented levels, while a small number of global donors provide most of the funding. In fragile states, poverty is rising, and forced displacement now affects 82.1 million people worldwide.
Mobilization in Cameroon
The Cameroonian government, together with the humanitarian community, has launched the 2023 Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) to support 2.7 million of the most vulnerable people. This initiative highlights the importance of solidarity and coordinated action to address urgent humanitarian needs and improve the living conditions of affected populations.
