Women’s Empowerment: PAK in Action!
Supporting Rural Women for Inclusive Development
From August 25 to 28, 2025, in Sangmélima, the Port Authority of Kribi, in partnership with VECAM, organized a training program on cassava processing and marketing techniques for the benefit of the Association of Traditional Women Leaders of the South Region (AFECT-Sud).
Training Focused on Autonomy and Entrepreneurship
Over four days, participants received hands-on training on how to add value to cassava, from production to commercialization. This initiative enabled women to strengthen their autonomy and entrepreneurial spirit, equipping them with practical tools they can apply directly in their daily activities.
Logistical Support to Consolidate Knowledge
The program went beyond theoretical and practical learning. It also included direct logistical support: the donation of essential equipment, including three tricycles to facilitate transportation and distribution, the awarding of training completion certificates, and a guided visit to the Port Authority of Kribi. This visit, requested by the beneficiaries, allowed them to better understand the role of this key infrastructure in the local and national economy.
PAK, a Partner in Local Development
Through this initiative, the Port Authority of Kribi clearly demonstrates that its mission extends beyond economic activities. By supporting the empowerment of rural women, it contributes to improving living conditions, creating value in local communities, and fostering inclusive growth.
Building an Inclusive and Sustainable Future
With tangible and human-centered actions, the Port Authority of Kribi positions itself as a trusted partner in driving inclusive and sustainable development. By standing alongside rural women, PAK is helping to build new opportunities and a more equitable future for the region.
