TrainForTrade Training: Building Skills for Effective Port Management
The Port Authority of Kribi invests in training to build tomorrow’s performance
October 18, 2024, marks the conclusion of the UNCTAD training program, led by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) through the TrainForTrade initiative. This program aims to promote sustainable development by strengthening trade and port management capacities, with a particular focus on adult training methodologies.
Over the course of five days, participants acquired teaching techniques tailored to professional knowledge transfer. In addition to learning how to formulate SMART objectives and utilize digital platforms, the training combined theory and practice through simulations, role-playing exercises, and a guided port visit.
Official Launch of PAK’s Future Trainers
The impact of this training became concrete on Monday, October 20, 2024, with the official introduction of the 25 selected candidates during a ceremony chaired by the Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK). On this occasion, the first module of their learning journey was launched, officially marking the start of their path as future in-house trainers at PAK.
