Strengthening regional cooperation and promoting investment opportunities in N’Djamena

From 6 to 10 February 2023, the Port Authority of Kribi took part in the second edition of the International Investment and Project Promoters Forum held in N’Djamena, reaffirming its commitment to regional economic integration and the promotion of investment opportunities.

The city of N’Djamena, capital of Chad, hosted the second edition of the International Investment and Project Promoters Forum from 6 to 10 February 2023, at the Palace of Arts and Culture. Held under the theme “Investing in Chad”, the forum brought together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to discuss investment prospects and strategies for sustainable economic growth.

The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) actively participated in this major economic event, underscoring its role as a strategic maritime gateway for regional trade. Through its presence, PAK showcased the investment opportunities available at the Port of Kribi and highlighted its modern infrastructure and competitive services designed to support the economic development of landlocked countries, particularly Chad.

The forum gathered a wide range of participants, including private sector operators, policy makers, technical and financial partners, business leaders, project promoters, experts, consulting firms, and startups. It provided a dynamic platform for dialogue and collaboration, fostering synergies among small, medium, and large enterprises with the objective of contributing to the growth of the Chadian economy.

In a context where investment in Chad faces several challenges—such as the need for stronger private sector involvement and enhanced support for small and medium-sized enterprises—PAK’s participation reflected its commitment to facilitating trade, supporting project developers, and strengthening regional economic cooperation.

Initiated by the General Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises of Chad (CGPME) in partnership with the National Agency for Investment and Exports (ANIE), the forum stands as a strategic platform that the Port Authority of Kribi intends to continue supporting, in line with its vision of inclusive, sustainable, and integrated regional development.
