The Port Authority of Kribi on an Investment Promotion Mission in Morocco

Strengthening South–South economic cooperation and attracting strategic investments

From 19 to 29 December 2025, the Kribi Port Authority took part in Cameroon’s economic mission to Morocco, organized on the sidelines of AFCON 2025, with the objective of promoting its assets and strengthening strategic partnerships with Moroccan economic stakeholders.

As part of the Cameroon Economic Days in Morocco, held from 19 to 29 December 2025, the Port Authority of Kribi (KPA) actively participated in the economic mission led by the Investment Promotion Agency of Cameroon (API). This initiative aimed to deepen economic relations between Cameroon and Morocco while attracting new investments within a strengthened South–South cooperation framework.

During this high-level mission, which featured strategic meetings in Casablanca, Rabat and Fez, the KPA engaged with leading Moroccan institutions, including the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Regional Investment Centers (CRIs), the Casablanca Finance City Authority (CFC), and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE). On these occasions, the Port of Kribi positioned itself as a key industrial and logistics hub, capable of efficiently connecting Cameroon, Central Africa and international markets.

With a 4,000-hectare industrial-port zone, an estimated 15,000-hectare land reserve, state-of-the-art infrastructure, strong multimodal connectivity, and competitive fiscal and customs incentives, the Port Authority of Kribi offers a secure and attractive environment for high value-added industrial and logistics projects.

A major highlight of the mission was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between API and AMDIE, aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation and facilitating the joint promotion of investment opportunities. This agreement reinforces the ongoing momentum and further positions the Kribi Port Authority as a driver of economic growth, a catalyst for regional integration, and a strategic lever for Cameroon’s development.

Through its participation in this mission, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirms its ambition to become a gateway to the CEMAC sub-region, fully aligned with the vision of Cameroonian and Moroccan authorities to promote pragmatic, sustainable, and mutually beneficial South–South cooperation.
