The Port Authority of Kribi Named “Champion of Regional Integration” at FECIAC 2025
A resounding recognition of Kribi Port’s vision for regional transformation and sustainable growth
Fresh from Brazzaville and crowned “Champion of Regional Integration”, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) reaffirms its pivotal role in driving Central Africa’s economic transformation. This distinction celebrates its achievements, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
A triumphant return from Brazzaville for the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK)!
At the conclusion of the Central Africa Economic Growth and Investment Forum (FECIAC), held on 3–4 November 2025 in the Congolese capital, the PAK received the prestigious title of “Champion of Regional Integration.”
These two days of high-level discussions shed light on the region’s structural challenges:
-
limited logistical connectivity,
-
slow-paced industrialization,
-
complexities in implementing import substitution, and
-
persistent barriers to intra-African trade.
In the midst of these challenges, the Port of Kribi presented concrete and measurable solutions, backed by impressive performance results:
📊 35.33 billion CFA francs in revenue (2024)
⚓ 12.7 million tons of cargo handled
These achievements clearly position Kribi as a world-class deep-sea port, capable of meeting international standards while supporting Central Africa’s logistics and industrial development.
But the highlight of the forum was undoubtedly the announcement of the upcoming launch of Kribi’s Integrated Industrial Zone, spanning 2,600 hectares within a broader 15,000-hectare development area.
This strategic infrastructure will enable the region to process raw materials locally, create added value, and export more competitively to global markets.
Engaging exchanges with institutional and business partners opened promising avenues for regional cooperation, further solidifying Kribi’s role as a logistics, industrial, and maritime hub of excellence.
The recognition at FECIAC 2025 crowns the PAK’s ambitious vision: to act as a catalyst for economic integration, driving a more connected, competitive, and self-reliant Central Africa.
The future is taking shape — and Kribi stands proudly among its chief architects.
