The PAK and KMT Sign Concession Contract for the Kribi Multipurpose Terminal
A new step in the port’s expansion strategy
On July 27, 2020, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) and Kribi Multipurpose Terminal (KMT) signed the concession contract for the development, operation, and maintenance of the Kribi Port Multipurpose Terminal.
The outcome of a competitive process
This agreement marks the culmination of the international bidding process launched in early 2019, during which KMT, a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), stood out with a compelling and sustainable offer, particularly in terms of investment capacity and potential for traffic diversification.
A strategic partnership
Through this contract, the Port Authority of Kribi consolidates its strategy to position Kribi as a competitive and diversified logistics hub. The arrival of KMT is expected to stimulate port activity, enhance service quality, and attract new categories of traffic.
A warm welcome to KMT
The PAK warmly welcomes KMT into the Kribi port community, confident that this partnership will contribute to the port’s long-term growth and to the broader economic development of Cameroon and the sub-region.
