A working visit to strengthen cooperation between two African port hubs

On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, a delegation from the Tanger Med Group completed a working visit to the Kribi Autonomous Port (PAK).

The Moroccan team included representatives from its subsidiaries in commercial management, handling, engineering, and industrial zone development, and was received by the Deputy General Manager of PAK.

Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, such as port governance, operational models, logistics strategies, and integrated industrial development. The two ports share similar infrastructural and economic models, making their cooperation both natural and strategic.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the port facilities in Mboro, 35 kilometers from Kribi. The guided tour included the two terminal quays, the harbor master’s office, the Phase II expansion site, and the Industrial Port Zone.

This visit highlights a common ambition to strengthen collaboration between Kribi and Tanger Med, two flagship ports driving economic development on the continent.
