The PAK General Manager inspects major industrial projects
This week, Mr. Patrice MELOM, General Manager of the Kribi Autonomous Port (PAK), wrapped up a strategic inspection tour across several construction sites within the Kribi Industrial-Port Area (ZIPK).
His visit aimed to assess construction progress, identify solutions for ongoing challenges, and reaffirm PAK’s commitment to supporting its tenants and investors.
Key projects visited include:
-
The Phase 2 quay extension, set to double vessel docking capacity;
-
Warehouses under construction: IHM facilities (8,000 m² and 15,000 m²), plus pilot warehouses (4,000 m² and 2,000 m²);
-
The ASPAC drinking water distribution network;
-
New security and defense infrastructure;
-
Cement industry plants such as CIMPOR, CEMTECH, and Les Bâtisseurs Réunis;
-
Logistics operators like COLOR CERAMICA, SCI KALOUPE, and KIS, with completion expected by year-end.
Stretching over 15,000 hectares, adjacent to the port terminals, the ZIPK is designed to be a flagship industrial development area, accommodating raw material processing and agro-industrial exports.
It offers strategic advantages such as:
-
Year-round access to a 16-meter-deep seaport;
-
Financial and tax incentives for investors;
-
Direct access to Asian markets and a vast, growing hinterland;
-
An ecosystem ideal for cross-sector synergies and industrial clustering.
