First Security Committee Meeting: A Strategic Step Forward

The first meeting of the Security Committee of the Port Authority of Kribi was held on Friday, March 5, 2021, in a closed session. The meeting took place under the authority of Mr. Félix NGUELE NGUELE, Governor of the South Region and Chairman of the Committee.

Several senior officials took part in the session, including Mr. Nouhou BELLO, Senior Divisional Officer of the Ocean Division, Mr. Patrice MELOM, General Manager of the Port Authority of Kribi, and representatives from the various law enforcement agencies operating within the port perimeter.

This committee, created to enhance security coordination in the deep seaport of Kribi, reflects the commitment of the Cameroonian government and the port management to ensuring safety and order within this strategic infrastructure. The participants reviewed the current security setup, assessed potential risks and threats, and laid the groundwork for a comprehensive security master plan.
