Research and Environment: PAK and the University of Yaoundé I join forces
A partnership agreement to create academic and operational synergies for sustainability
On Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) and the University of Yaoundé I (UY1) signed a partnership agreement to strengthen applied research in environmental fields.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Patrice MELOM, General Manager of PAK, and Professor Maurice Aurélien SOSSO, Rector of UY1. It sets the stage for a strategic collaboration between academia and the port sector, with a focus on pooling expertise from lecturers, students, and PAK personnel to develop innovative and sustainable solutions.
This initiative reflects a shared commitment to sustainable development, through joint research projects, internship programs, knowledge transfer activities, and the valorization of scientific findings to benefit the coastal and marine environment.
