Project and AOT Visits: The Port Authority of Kribi at the Heart of Industrial Development

Two days of inspection to showcase strategic investments in the Mboro port domain.

Over two days, the Port Authority of Kribi highlighted the scale and diversity of ongoing initiatives within its port domain. From the construction of the 225 KV power line to logistics, agro-industrial and cement industry facilities, these projects reflect a dynamic of modernization and diversification that strengthens PAK’s role as a strategic logistics and industrial hub serving Cameroon and the sub-region.

A rapidly expanding port domain

With a surface area of 15,000 hectares, the Kribi port domain stands as a strategic space for hosting major projects across multiple sectors: energy, logistics, industry, agribusiness and services.

Diverse and strategic projects

The visits focused on various projects and Temporary Occupation Authorizations (AOTs).
An AOT is an administrative authorization that allows a company or organization to occupy part of the port domain to develop economic, industrial or logistics activities, without any transfer of ownership. It is therefore an essential instrument for enhancing and developing public port property.

Among the sites visited were:

  • SINOHYDRO/STECOL: construction of the 225 KV power line linking KPDC to PAK;

  • KAMLOG MAD: logistics base and laminated packaging production unit;

  • SODIPRACO: agro-industrial site for processing and agricultural valorization;

  • All Bitumen Cameroon PLC (ABC): bitumen-related activities;

  • Ocean Shipping: maritime transport and logistics solutions;

  • Kribi Multipurpose Platform (PPK): multi-services hub;

  • CIMPOR: cement industry plant;

  • Africa Global Logistics (AGL): integrated logistics and port services;

  • as well as KRIDEVCO, ASPAC, BUNS, TBEA, BATOP, BUILPABSCO, SC CAM, and several technical consortiums.

Monitoring progress and compliance

Each stop of the visit assessed project quality and progress, compliance with contractual deadlines, as well as adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.

A driver of economic and social development

Beyond infrastructure, these investments are already generating numerous direct and indirect jobs. They boost construction, logistics, agro-industry, energy and port services, contributing to improved living conditions for local communities.

Commitment to a modern and sustainable port

Through these visits, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirms its commitment to building a competitive, innovative and sustainable port platform serving Cameroon and the sub-region.
