Kribi, January 24, 2018 – The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) and Atlantic Cocoa Corporation (ACC) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the construction, installation, and commissioning of a cocoa processing plant in the port’s industrial zone.
This investment, valued at 30 billion CFA francs (partially financed by BGFI Bank), will initially process 32,000 tons of cocoa beans per year, with a target of 60,000 tons at full capacity.
The ceremony, chaired by Patrice Barthélémy MELOM, General Manager of PAK, was held in the conference hall of the PAK Headquarters, with the participation of the General Managers of both companies and the Senior Divisional Officer of the Ocean Division.
👉 The project is in line with Cameroon’s strategy to increase local cocoa processing to 50% of national production.
