A continental recognition of visionary leadership
The Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi, Patrice Melom, was awarded the 2024 Honorary Management Award on 8 August 2025 in Yaoundé, celebrating bold leadership and transformative governance.
On 8 August 2025, at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé, Patrice Melom, Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK), received the 2024 Honorary Management Award during the 4th edition of the Awards of the Future.
This distinction—granted after an international evaluation process involving 30 countries—honours a leadership style defined by innovation, impact and strategic vision.
The event, held under the high patronage of President Paul Biya and the sponsorship of Minister René Emmanuel Sadi, celebrated 25 laureates whose achievements contribute to shaping a bold, modern Africa.
The award was received on behalf of Mr. Melom by Christian Mangwa, Head of PAK’s Representation in Yaoundé. It marked a moment of pride for the entire institution.
Since taking office, Patrice Melom has elevated the Port Authority of Kribi to the rank of a regional logistics powerhouse through key accomplishments, including:

strategic expansion of port capacity through Phase 2,

digitalisation of procedures for smoother operations,

attraction of major investments,

and implementation of transparent, performance-driven governance.
The award adds to a series of recognitions already received by Mr. Melom and strengthens PAK’s ambition to remain a leading port platform in Central Africa.
