Port Authority of Kribi Strengthens Its Appeal at the 20th India-Africa Conclave

By engaging with top-tier investors, including Indian giant ADANI, the Port Authority of Kribi demonstrates its commitment to international standards and its drive to become a leading industrial and logistics hub in Central Africa.

From August 27 to 29, 2025, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) participated, under the banner of the Investment Promotion Agency (API), in the 20th India-Africa Economic Conclave, a major event organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Alongside other national institutions such as the Mission for the Development and Management of Industrial Zones (MAGZI) and the Special Fund for Intermunicipal Equipment and Intervention (FEICOM), PAK helped present a coherent, modern, and attractive Cameroonian offering.
The official delegation was led by the Minister of External Relations, in charge of the Commonwealth, H.E. Félix Mbayu, who represented Cameroon in this forum bringing together public decision-makers, business leaders, and international investors.

During the conclave, the Port of Kribi held multiple B2B meetings, particularly with leading Indian logistics and port infrastructure players such as ADANI, one of the world’s largest port operators.
PAK also explored opportunities in strategic energy sectors — electricity and water — which are crucial for the industrialization of the special economic zone adjacent to the port.

A key moment of this participation was the session dedicated to investment opportunities in Cameroon. This panel, marked by diverse and expert speakers, included Minister Félix Mbayu, Mpon Sylvie Michelle, Chargé d’Affaires at the Cameroonian Embassy in India, Christol MANON, Director General of MAGZI, Donatus BOMA, Director General of API, and Eric DIKOKO MANGA, Head of the Department of Port Activities Supervision and Control at PAK.

Another highlight was the in-depth discussions between PAK and the ADANI group, including a visit to Mundra Port. This engagement opens concrete avenues for cooperation and reflects PAK’s ambition to learn from global best practices to accelerate its development.

Departing from New Delhi, the Cameroonian delegation left with the conviction that a significant step had been taken. Through strategic meetings and increased visibility, the Port Authority of Kribi strengthens its ambition to become a platform for industrial transformation and regional competitiveness, embedded in an international dynamic that promises a sustainable future.
