Kribi Port pursues new industrial and maritime opportunities in Asia

During its visit to Shanghai, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) established several promising partnerships aimed at accelerating the development of its industrial zone and enhancing maritime connectivity with Asia.

This visit to Shanghai offered an excellent opportunity for the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) to strengthen cooperation with key players in China’s maritime and industrial ecosystem.

Among the highlights of this mission:

  • Haisheng Group expressed its intention to establish a wood processing plant within the Kribi Port Industrial Zone, reinforcing the port’s position as a hub for local transformation and value creation.

  • COSCO Shipping, one of the world’s largest shipping companies, discussed the opening of a direct maritime line connecting Asia and Kribi, a move that would significantly enhance the port’s connectivity and competitiveness.

  • Productive exchanges also took place with the Shanghai Free Trade Zone authorities, offering valuable benchmarking insights and opportunities for collaboration in logistics, governance, and trade facilitation.

The Port Authority of Kribi extends its sincere thanks to all its partners for their warm hospitality, openness, and shared vision for sustainable port development.

Kribi continues to move forward — building bridges between Africa and Asia, and shaping a more integrated, competitive, and innovative maritime future for Central Africa.
