On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) took a significant step forward in its commitment to exemplary governance by organizing a seminar on the promotion of integrity at the Framotel Hotel.
Held under the theme “Promoting Integrity at the Port Authority of Kribi”, this high-level strategic session aimed to strengthen managers’ capacity in the areas of good governance, ethical decision-making, and the prevention and resolution of integrity breaches through anti-corruption and anti-fraud mechanisms.
Chaired by Saadou Mohamadou, Technical Adviser No.1 and Head of the PAK Anti-Corruption Unit, the workshop brought together Directors, Deputy Directors, and Heads of Department. This initiative aligns fully with the Cameroonian government’s directives on combating corruption and promoting accountable governance.
To guide the discussions, PAK enlisted the expertise of Pro Active Management. A team of specialists including Abanda Mao (lead facilitator), Ekane, Patrick Amougou, and Father William shared practical tools and methods to help participants identify, prevent, and address integrity risks in their daily professional activities.
The seminar was structured around four key modules:
-
The foundations of integrity and their relevance to port operations;
-
An overview supported by factual data and analysis;
-
Practical case studies based on real professional situations;
-
Existing integrity control mechanisms and safeguards within PAK.
The session fostered dynamic and interactive discussions, enabling participants to raise concerns and receive clear guidance on complex ethical situations they may encounter. These exchanges reinforced the shared understanding that integrity is an essential prerequisite for building a credible, efficient, and sustainable institution.
At the close of the seminar, a strong call to action was made: that every manager should become an ambassador of integrity in their daily responsibilities. By translating these lessons into concrete actions, the Port Authority of Kribi aims to remain not only a major economic player but also a benchmark for responsible governance.
