PAK at UNCTAD Port Management Training of Trainers
An international meeting to share experiences and future perspectives
From June 10 to 20, 2025, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) took part in the Port Management Training of Trainers Program organized by UNCTAD in Marseille, France. This major gathering brought together eleven French-speaking African ports to exchange insights on the challenges and opportunities of the sector.
A New Vision for the Role of Ports
During the session, participants shared experiences and emphasized that ports are no longer merely transit points for goods. They are now true economic and logistics platforms—drivers of growth, job creation, and development in their respective countries.
Challenges to Overcome Together
While this dynamic is promising, discussions also highlighted the permanent challenges that ports must address: sustainable development, innovation, and the integration of green technologies. These factors have become essential levers for strengthening the competitiveness and resilience of African ports.
