Showcasing Kribi’s Strategic Role in Intra-African Trade

The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) proudly participated in this year’s TOC Africa 2025, held in Tangier, Morocco, on September 17–18, 2025. This biannual conference serves as a key platform for dialogue and collaboration among operators, public authorities, investors, and private stakeholders in the maritime and logistics sector.

Investing in Intra-African Trade and Logistics

A highlight of the event was the participation of Mr. Michaël Mama, Director of Operations at the Port Authority of Kribi, during the session entitled “Investing in Intra-African Trade and Logistics.”

Drawing on his extensive expertise in port operations, Mr. Mama shared valuable insights on the opportunities and challenges related to strengthening trade exchanges across the continent. His presentation emphasized the key role of infrastructure development, innovation, and collaboration as driving forces for unlocking Africa’s full trade potential.

Digital Transformation: The Kribi Experience

Together with its strategic partners, PAK presented a case study illustrating what true port digitalization means — the ongoing digital transformation of the Kribi Deep Seaport in Cameroon.

Through this transformation, Kribi Port has been able to:

✅ Reduce paperwork and streamline administrative processes
✅ Improve coordination among all port stakeholders
✅ Ensure real-time visibility to support better, data-driven decision-making

Beyond technology, this experience demonstrated that real port innovation stems from collaboration and a shared vision between port authorities, operators, and technical partners.

Building the Future of the African Blue Economy

Through its participation in TOC Africa 2025, the Port Authority of Kribi reaffirms its commitment to actively contributing to the development of the African blue economy and to strengthening its position as a strategic logistics and trade hub for Central Africa and beyond.
