A strategic partnership bridging regional development and port ambition

On March 4, 2024, in Nkolandom, near Ebolowa, Patrice MELOM, Director General of the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK), and Emmanuel MVE ELEMVA, President of the South Regional Council, signed a Framework Partnership Agreement formalizing collaboration between the two institutions.

🤝 A shared vision for development

At the heart of this agreement lies a dual ambition:

  • to support the integrated development of the South Region,

  • and to strengthen the expansion of the Port of Kribi,
which is emerging as a key driver of regional economic growth, with the potential to extend its impact far beyond the coastline and into the hinterland.

✍️ A ceremony marked by shared satisfaction

During the official signing ceremony, both leaders expressed their full satisfaction with the conclusion of this milestone agreement, which opens up new opportunities for collaboration, including:

  • support for local development projects,

  • enhancement of regional infrastructure,

  • and creation of value chains around port logistics and services.

📆 A lasting and renewable commitment

The Framework Partnership Agreement, signed for an initial period of three years (renewable), reflects a commitment to long-term institutional cooperation with expected economic and social benefits for the entire South Region.
