A new gateway for public and private investment financing

Kribi, December 8, 2022 – The Autonomous Port of Kribi (PAK) marked a strategic milestone with the official launch of the Public and Private Investment Financing Initiative (IFI2P).

The event was highlighted by the signing of cooperation agreements between the PAK’s General Manager, Mr. Patrice MELOM, and senior executives from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – the private sector arm of the World Bank – as well as the African Development Bank (AfDB).

πŸ” A strategic platform for project funding

IFI2P is designed as a platform for dialogue and collaboration that connects the Port of Kribi, private investors seeking capital, and financial institutions with investment resources. The initiative aims to support the economic transformation of the region through sustainable and targeted financing mechanisms.

🌍 Expanding the financial ecosystem

In the wake of the launch ceremony, the PAK announced its intention to sign further partnership agreements with major financial partners, including commercial banks, investment funds, and development finance institutions. These efforts will strengthen the port’s position as a regional industrial and logistics hub.

IFI2P stands as a bold step toward a more integrated and investment-ready Kribi Industrial-Port Zone.
