A strategic positioning to make the multipurpose terminal more attractive.
From 13 – 15 May 2025, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) participated in Breakbulk Europe, held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, in partnership with its concessionaire, Kribi Multipurpose Terminal (KMT). This participation is part of the port’smarketing strategy aimed at consolidating its position as a strategic logistics hub in Central Africa for breakbulk cargo, bulk cargo, and heavy-lift shipments.
A Global Platform for Conventional Freight and Industrial Logistics
Breakbulk Europe is the leading global event for professionals in conventional freight, projects logistics, solid bulk, and out of gauge cargo. Every year, it gathers thousands of key stakeholders, including shippers, shipowners, freight forwarders, and port operators.
The event provides a unique opportunity to showcase the technical and operational strengths of the Kribi Multipurpose Terminal, which offers:

A Joint Stand to Showcase Kribi’s Achievements
The joint PAK-KMT exhibition stand served as a platform to present the specific features of the Kribi Multipurpose Terminal to international partners, including:

A -16 metre draft, enabling the terminal to accommodate large capacity vessels;

A loading capacity exceeding 60,000 tonnes per ship call, with unmatched handling speeds in Cameroon;

Operational flexibility, enabling multi-port configurations, particularly with the Port of Douala;

Significant financial profit in maritime freight, through volume optimisation and reduced unit cost per tonne.
“Meet and Greet” to Showcase Integrated Logistics Offers
On the sidelines of the exhibition, PAK hosted a “Meet and Greet” session to present its integrated logistics offer. This gathering brought together various stakeholders from the port industrial and logistics sectors, who are interested in the wealth of opportunities offered by the Kribi Port in terms of transport, local processing, and regional distribution.
An Ever-expanding Terminal
The participation to Breakbulk Europe 2025 comes at a time when the expansion of port infrastructure is well underway. With Phase II becoming progressively operational , the quay length of the Multipurpose Terminal will increase from 265 metres to 675 metres, enhancing the port’s ability to handle severalvessels simultaneously and streamline logistics chains for both imports and exports.
