The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK), the National Social Insurance Fund (CNPS), the BESTWAY/AUSTSINO consortium, and G-STONES have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of a next-generation mineral terminal at the Port of Kribi. This landmark project marks a decisive step toward local mineral transformation and Cameroon’s industrial development.

Yaoundé, November 4, 2025 – 3:00 p.m.
The conference hall of the CNPS’s new headquarters on Avenue des Banques was filled with energy and optimism as the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK), the National Social Insurance Fund (CNPS), the BESTWAY/AUSTSINO consortium, and G-STONES officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of a mineral terminal at Kribi Port.

On site, Patrice Melom, Managing Director of PAK, Alain Noël Olivier Mekulu Mvondo Akame, General Manager of CNPS, Alexandre Mbiam, CEO of Bestway Finance, and Éric Ngantchou, CEO of G-STONES, sealed the agreement with a symbolic handshake and the traditional family photo under the camera flashes.

The proposed terminal, designed to handle 125 million tonnes of minerals per year, will cover 330 hectares and feature state-of-the-art port technology.
It will enable local mineral processing, value creation, and enhanced competitiveness for Cameroon on the global commodities market.

The signatory partners have set a four- to six-month timeline to finalize the project’s technical, legal, and financial structuring before construction begins.

Kribi moves forward. Cameroon builds. The presidential vision takes shape.
