An interministerial delegation reviews progress and outlines next steps

An interministerial delegation made up of officials from the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT), the Ministry of Finance (MINFI) and the Prime Minister’s Office arrived at the Kribi Port Authority (PAK) for a series of strategic meetings.

Led by Roger BAKAFAN, Technical Advisor No. 1 of MINEPAT, and received by PAK’s General Manager, Mr. Patrice MELOM, the delegation’s mission was to assess the progress of the Kribi Economic Zone project.

Construction milestones reached

The delegation toured several active construction sites in the industrial-port area and expressed satisfaction with the level of progress. These developments reinforce the ambition of making Kribi a benchmark economic zone for industrial development and local value creation.

A strategic working session

Following the site tour, a technical meeting was held to review the critical path toward establishing the zone. Discussions focused on cluster development, pricing models, and financial structuring strategies for sustainable implementation.

Key attention was given to the sectoral clusters selected for the zone, with a view to encouraging synergies in energy, agro-industry, logistics, and construction.
