Female Leadership at the Heart of the Port Authority of Kribi
On the occasion of the 39th edition of International Women’s Rights Day, the Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) actively participated in the global celebration under the theme:“Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.”
From March 2 to 8, 2024, the women of PAK, led by the PAK Women’s Association (AFPAK), carried out a vibrant week of solidarity, education, and wellness activities, reflecting the spirit of the theme.
💪 A Week of Unity, Wellness, and Awareness
🔹 March 2: the week began with a sports event, fostering unity and well-being among staff.
🔹 March 3: a medical awareness campaign focused on workplace depression, highlighting the importance of mental health.
❤️ Reaching Out to the Vulnerable
🔹 Tuesday, March 5, the women of PAK visited Children’s Hope Orphanage, delivering donations and support to the children in a heartwarming gesture of solidarity and compassion.
🎓 Promoting Women’s and Girls’ Rights
🔹 Wednesday, March 6, a conference was held on the promotion and protection of the rights of women and girls, emphasizing equality and empowerment as key priorities.

Through a blend of sport, reflection, and community outreach, PAK’s women reaffirmed their vital role in the port’s success and in the broader development landscape. This celebration underscores the organization’s commitment to gender equality, female leadership, and the protection of fundamental rights, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
