Dakar at the Heart of Maritime and Logistics Dialogue in Africa

From 28 to 30 June 2022 in Dakar, the 27th edition of Intermodal Africa brought together key African and international stakeholders from the maritime, port, transport and logistics sectors. The Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK) took part in this major continental event, reaffirming its commitment to Africa’s port and logistics integration.

Now in its 27th edition, Intermodal Africa remains the largest annual exhibition and conference in Africa dedicated to ports, maritime affairs, transport and logistics. The 2022 edition was held from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 June at the prestigious King Fahd Palace Hotel in Dakar, Senegal.

Hosted by the Port of Dakar Authority (PAD) and supported by DP World, the event provided a high-level platform for dialogue on the current challenges of global and regional trade, port infrastructure development, and the transformation of logistics value chains across the continent.

The Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK) actively participated in this strategic gathering, underscoring its determination to remain fully engaged in professional networks and industry forums shaping the future of Africa’s maritime and logistics sectors. PAK’s presence formed part of a broader strategy of benchmarking, knowledge sharing and promotion of its positioning as a major port and logistics hub in Central Africa.

The two-day conference programme featured 30 internationally recognised speakers, addressing key issues related to trade, investment, port performance and logistics innovation. Nearly 300 participants—including senior government officials, industry executives, academics, harbour masters, port engineers and supply chain decision-makers—took part in the discussions.

Alongside the conference sessions, 40 exhibitors and sponsors showcased their solutions and expertise, offering delegates valuable opportunities for networking, partnership development and business engagement in a professional and secure environment.

Through its participation in Intermodal Africa 2022, the Port Autonome de Kribi reaffirmed its ambition to contribute actively to reflections on the future of African ports, strengthen regional and international cooperation, and promote a modern, efficient and sustainable vision of port development.
