Happening Now: Operation KARAVEG at the Multipurpose Terminal
Kribi Port Showcases Offshore Logistics Expertise
The Port Authority of Kribi (PAK) is currently hosting a high-level maritime operation—Operation KARAVEG—at its Multipurpose Terminal. This operation highlights the port’s ability to safely and efficiently manage complex offshore logistics, thanks to its calm, sheltered waters and the expertise of its pilot station.
A Strategic Offshore Logistics Operation
The operation centers on the careful loading of two Single Point Mooring (SPM) buoys, originating from PERENCO’s offshore oil terminals at MASSANGO and EBOME, onto the semi-submersible barge KARAVEG, securely moored stern-to-quay.
Strengthening Kribi’s Position
This delicate maneuver demonstrates Kribi Port’s strategic role in supporting Cameroon’s offshore oil activities and reinforces its status as a growing hub for heavy-lift operations and offshore support services in the Gulf of Guinea.
Commitment to Safety and Excellence
Executed with precision and strict safety standards, Operation KARAVEG exemplifies the port’s commitment to providing world-class maritime services and its growing reputation as a reference in the region.
